THD funding was used to establish a Translational Chemistry Facility, at MIPS, which provides scale and critical mass in translational medicinal chemistry and enable coordinated planning and advancement of new drug candidates. The new laboratories at MIPS provide;
• access to the chemical and instrumental resources within MIPS and the broader biotechnology research community; and
• co-location with the Centre for Drug Candidate Optimisation which works collaboratively to enhance the quality and developability of new drug candidates.
The facility will have state-of-the-art instrumentation, including mass directed purification systems that significantly enhance the productivity of translational medicinal chemists.
