TIA in successful MTPConnect project grant

The Australia-China Life Sciences Partnership Program receives funding from MTPConnect’s Project Fund Program

Thursday, 26 October 2017 - Melbourne, Australia:

MTPConnect - the Medical Technologies and Pharmaceuticals Industry Growth Centre - today announced it will provide a proposed $170,000 provisional funding to The Australia-China Life Sciences Partnership Program over two years, with proposed matched funding of $170,000 coming from the sector. The funding will allow the project partners, which include AusBiotech, Therapeutic Innovation Australia, Asia-Link Business, KPMG, China Blue Sky partners, FB Rice and King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) to develop a strong platform to enable Australian SMEs and researchers to engage with the rapidly growing Chinese market.

The funding will allow the ‘Australia-China Life Sciences Partnership Program’ to increase awareness and opportunities for communication, collaboration and commercialisation between the life sciences sector in Australia and China, to deliver high-quality, collaborative research and industry projects as well as valuable data analytics on commercial engagement between the two countries.

TIA will contribute data from its ATRAX resource. ATRAX is a database of funded Australian medical research projects - this data will provide information on selected funded projects with potential to be promoted to Chinese investors.
